Directing Faces Conferences since the company began in 1986, Dr. Fields has over thirty years of experience in conference development and delivery. During this time he has organized countless counseling ceu conferences. He is the former Assistant–Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse's Western Regional Training Center. He has developed mental health conferences for, and presented, at many universities, and colleges. Dr. Fields also draws upon his twenty-five years of experience in his private counseling practice.

Dr. Fields is the author of Drugs in Perspective, 7th edition, Mc Graw Hill, 2008. He is also the author of a new book – Minestrone for the Mind, Awakening to Mindfulness: 10 Steps for Positive Change, Health Communications, May, 2008.
