| John Briere, Ph.D. is Associate Professor in the departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, and Director of the Psychological Trauma Clinic at Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, on the advisory board of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC), a member of the Cadre of Experts on Violence of the American Psychological Association, and a former member of the board of directors of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS). He recently received the Robert S. Laufer Memorial Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement from ISTSS (1999) and the Outstanding Professional Award from APSAC (1999). (1977). |
